We're moving.

So by now, it’s pretty much old news that the Cordle Fam is moving their base of operation to Jackson, MS. We’re all completely on board with this as a family, but that doesn’t mean that it’s going to be easy. Moving out of our home is going to take a while…both logistically & emotionally. As much as we’ve talked about the move, it just really didn’t become real until the girls & I came home today to find a “For Sale” sign in the yard.
After having a bit of a “moment”, we decided that it just didn’t feel right to have the sign out front while we were home for Thanksgiving. So, somewhat immaturely, we took matters into our own hands.
After taking care of that, we went and ate some lunch, then hung out with Joy & her 3 munchkins. We’ll try and work up a slideshow of that later. The realtor called and wanted to show the house at 5:30, so we left Joy’s in enough time to catch a skunk & hide it under mom & dad’s bed.
While the impostors were wandering our house, we went to up to the new Publix to find the fixins for dinner. It just so happened that it was sample day, so we ended up hanging out at the grocery for dang near an hour. We swung by the high school to reminisce a little, then by Eckerd Rite-Aid to grab a few things we forgot at Publix.
We divided up dinner prep, and had a really good fish+corn+green bean+bread meal. Anna also made some killer cupcakes, and I plan on eating as many as I can until I get too sick to continue. So…on that note, I’ll let you go so I can frost up another. Love y’all.
BTW… Making cupcakes in “corn bread stick” pan is not as good an idea as it sounds.
Great blog! Had me laughing the entire time! Moving is going to be extremly hard for all but you all have a great support system!
Bo, Anna, Caroline, we love all of you so much and will be praying for you and also I will be glad to come help clean out, you know how I love to do that….. Had a great dinner with your Dad and Jesalyn in Biloxi this week… Cannot wait to see all of you at Christmas, know this is hard but we are here for all of you…. Anna, enjoyed talking to you today! Yes, it will be hard to leave your homeplace, but just know “Home is where your family is.” You are all in our thoughts and prayers as you face the change. I promised your Mom I’d help with the packing so I’ll be seeing you all soon. Have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy the time together at home.
