Please indulge me…

6 Apr

Hey Folks…Not 10 minutes ago, I returned from a 10 mile jog. As you can imagine any fat boy would be when he just ran 10 miles and didn’t end up in the hospital, I was rather excited, so I recorded this short video. This is just further proof that anyone can do something crazy if they try hard enough.

Clark and Hays are dressed in gear that Gracen gave them. It is out of some movie. We had a blast with them….but were we tired after a week!

Don't be mad!

1 Apr

OK… So here is the story… Last night after chapter, We were hanging out at my house and we were bored so I thought that it would be fun to go up on the Zeta Hall and hang out with some of the girls, so we did. While we were up there some of the new girls were talking about how now that they are initiated they want to go get a Tattoo. So I thought that it would be fun to go with them. While we were at Artistic Addictions in Anniston, Janele decided she wanted to get one. SHE DID! She got some design on her lower back. Well, after long debate they talked me into getting one. DON’T BE MAD! It is a small crown on my ankle. It can be covered up if I have to. I have always wanted one but didn’t know where to get one that would be cute. I like it so far…

Here is a picture of it…

I'm getting old.

1 Apr

I’ve known for a while now that I’m getting old. It’s pretty obvious, really…I mean, I’ve already graduated college, I began a career, and I’m about to hit my quarterlife. But in the past few days, a few things have happened to me that will signify a ‘defining moment’ in my life. We all have those, right? Well I’m having one as we speak.

  • I bought a Coffee Maker. No, not just an overpriced latte at Starbucks, but an actual coffee maker. And then I had to buy coffee. And creamer. I actually bought creamer. Life changing.
  • I can’t wear blue jeans without someone asking me if it’s “Casual Day”.
  • Against all odds, I’m actually on a budget, and I’m following it.
  • Those three things, taken individually, really don’t mean much. Here’s the kicker. At the birthday party Sunday, Joy pointed out that it was time for me to shave my nose. Shave my nose! Not the hair growing out of my nose, which we all know I get from Dad, but the hair on top of my nose. Wow.

So, despite the best efforts of the girl at the party who tried to make me feel more young by turning me into a dolphin with her magic wand, I know I’m old. You may think this is rash, but I’m not one to sit idle while a defining moment like this passes me by.

Effective yesterday, I quit my job in Auburn. The season’s over, and they won’t need me for several months. I purchased a small sailboat with my tax refund, and SailingBo will sail again. I’ve updated my old site, http://www.sailingbo.com, and you can read all about my upcoming adventure there. I know it’s kind of weird for me to be telling you this on the blog, but that’s what it’s for, right?

Love y’all!
